What's the difference between Runabout and Deluxe models?Runabout trailers have been upgraded to 6'10'' Deluxe models as of 2023. The original Runabout is no longer in production. When Runabout trailers were in production, they were limited to certain sizes and a 6'10'' width. These sizes are small enough to maintain safety and quality without the addition of a steel subframe. Runabout trailers last just as long and maintain the same high quality structure as Deluxe models. When the line was introduced, Runabouts were very basic, high-quality, durable trailers. 4-Star base models evolve to match customer preferences. In recent years, customers frequently upgraded their Runabout trailers with Deluxe style doors, windows, slats, and more. This, in effect, created a smaller version of a Deluxe trailer to become the standard, eliminating the need for a Runabout model.
