“I was stopped on the shoulder (passenger side tires in the grass & all my hazard lights on) to assist with a rollover that had just happened in the meridian about 150 yards behind. The driver of a mini van was driving 70mph past the accident scene and was rubbernecking at the rollover instead of watching the road. She drove into the back of my trailer with such force it literally split my truck from the trailer. Both the truck and trailer were written off and, by some miracle and 4-Star’s well-built design, my horses managed to walk away with only mild scrapes. I am so grateful for how this trailer held up! I will forever be a supporter of this company as I truly believe my 2 horses I was hauling this day would not be alive if they had been in another brand of trailer. Thank you for building such quality trailers!”

“In 2014 our 1998 4-Star stayed together through an accident. It tore one tire off the axle that went flying and bent the other axle. The new van that hit us was totaled with all air bags deployed and, seat belted in, they were miraculously okay. After police had their report, we limped it 50 miles down the road to camp. We still have this trailer after some major fixing. I should add that people in camp were amazed when we got there! Don’t know of any other trailers holding up like this one. The family in the van that hit us had fallen asleep and come across center line at 60-some miles an hour- it was a total miracle no one was seriously hurt.”

“I just wanted to let you guys know your trailers are amazing! We bought one from a friend two years ago, and a couple months ago after we got it on our way to a show a guy slammed into the back of the trailer the doors were smashed in so my horse was trapped inside. The firefighters had to cut the doors off. It was definitely scary, but my horse handled it perfectly and didn’t feel a thing and the trailer stayed intact and safe. The doors obviously had to be replaced and the trailer is older so the doors had to be made special for it. We still use it and it’s amazing.”

“Our trailer was custom ordered by my grandfather in 1987 it was a 6 horse slant stock combo with a tack room. He bought and sold horses all over and this was his first brand new trailer. This was the only trailer he used from the day he picked it up in 1987 until he retired from the horse world and sold it in 2016 the day this picture was took. When it was sold it had in the range of 2 maybe even closer to 3 million miles on it and could’ve been more than that. Not a perfect guess but it was definitely around that number given the number of miles on trucks he wore out pulling this trailer. The only things he ever did to the trailer besides replacing tires was new bearings and brake kits. The trailer was meant to hold 6 head but I seen him fit 10 and 12 thoroughbreds in it multiple times when he took out the petitions. The trailer was not lightly used at all. The trailer is still being used today by the people that bought it off of him and id one day like to buy it back if I could.! can’t tell you the amount of people that come in contact with my grandfather talking about horse trailers and he always tells them the story of this trailer. He is a believer in 4 star trailers and would quickly tell you why if anyone were to ask right now.”

My four star trailer is the best trailer I have ever in my entire 40-year career had the pleasure of driving. She is 22 years old and does not look it. I use it as my business trailer now when it just started out as a personal trailer. Now she’s going all over the country hauling horses here and there. I love that trailer I can’t even tell you how much I love that trailer.

Recently I had a 19.2 draft horse kick off my door. Without getting into details, he was okay My door was not lol. However after I realized that I don’t know how to find hinges I called four star and it was easy peasy! Kevin helped me with the order. I gave him my VIN and then sent pictures and had I been ready to purchase at that moment I could have had it all resolved on the same day! I was heading out of town on a haul (different trailer I had to rent) and didn’t want my hinges just hanging out on my doorstep so I arranged for a call back date and Kevin did return the call as scheduled, but on my end I was driving through a snowstorm. So I chose not to answer and got back to him when I got home from my trip. What I really appreciated was that he called only once and did not blow up my phone for a sale. I know that parts are not commission based however, It is still greatly appreciated that he respected I was unavailable for some reason and would be able to reach back out to him when I’m ready which is what happened. Thank you guys for continuing to be the most superior trailer company on the market. And keep Kevin happy!

“Thank you 4 Star trailers for making high quality trailers! Recently just went through a wreck involving my 5 horse 4 star with horses aboard, and all survived with minor cuts. After rolling it down a 20 ft bank and ending up in a corn field after hydro plane I am beyond thankful for have been pulling a 4 star.
